Bella Vista Garden Club in NW Arkansas had a wonderful time with their show, "Village Vistas", June 12, 2010.  Staging, horticulture, and designs appear to be fantastic.  Congratulations to this club for all of the efforts in presenting such a wonderful show.  All AFGC members should be very proud of them.  Enjoy some of the photos which follow. ...  THIS SHOW RECEIVED A NATIONAL FLOWER SHOW ACHIEVEMENT AWARD AT THE NGC CONVENTION IN WASHINGTON, D.C., MAY 28, 2011.

Beautiful "Welcome" signage.

"Canoe for Two", Functional Alfresco Tables.  Vintage canoe with tables draped in burlap and fishnets. 

"Come for Cards", Table Artistry winner by Mary Stancombe, an Exhibition Type I Luncheon Table.

Duo Design by Linda Neymeyer, "Creekside Vistas".  This side is 'Spring Awakening', while the other side (below) is 'Autumn Retreat'.  Great job!!!

THE 2011 VISION OF BEAUTY CALENDAR published by NGC contains a design by Mary Stancombe of Bella Vista Garden Club. She is also a member of Floralia Arrangers Guild.  It is an October design,  a Creative Design using Harry Lauder Walking Stick, dried Hydrangeas, a Pumpkin, and a metal frame to represent the moon.  It is a MUST to see.  Congratulations, Mary, for the interesting design which found an outstanding place in the National Garden Clubs Inc. publication.  Mary's design was photographed by Cathy Wayson.

The Petite Award was won by Janice Kennedy. It is a small design, "Patriotic Vistas", and reflects the Veterans' Wall of Honor in the Village where Bella Vista Garden Club maintains a garden.  Isn't it special!!!

Another good nautical idea helps with the staging of this special show.
