#9, VERA KEY HORTICULTURE AWARD, ($25) to club scoring highest number of points on the Vera Key Horticulture rating sheet.  Complete this form found in Pres. Directory and mail to AFGC Awards Chair.

#10, STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE WITH GREAT HONOR, ($25), to club scoring highest number of points on the Standard of Excellence with Great Honor, determined by points on the President's Report.  Mail to District Directory by Feb. 1.

#11, INDIVIDUAL SERVICE AWARD, is given to a nominee from each district who has made outstanding contributions to the Garden Club program in his/her district.  Each club pres. may nominate thru the Pres. Report with a letter listing qualifications. (Members of AFGC Executive Comm. not elilgible. Dist. Director notifies AFGC Awards Chair so that a certificate may be prepared.

#12, LANDSCAPE DESIGN AWARD, ($25) to a single club for beautification of pupblic or private grounds. Design, plant material arrangement, good choice of plants for easy maintenance must be considered. Application form & BOE required. (SCR #12). Design (35); list plant material (30); color/texture (15); Before/after pics (10); publicity (5); presentation (5).

#13, ARBOR DAY, ($25) to club planting most trees or club with an outstanding Arbor Day activity.  Application form/BOE needed.  (SCR #1).

#14, PUBLICITY AWARD ($25) to best Press Book from the top 3 winners in the state.  Mail to Press Book Chairman.

#15, TURTLE AWARD, ($25) to oldest member of an accredited club who is first time winner of a blue ribbon in the design division of a Standard Flower Show.  No application form needed.  Flower show entry card should be complete and signed by one judge and chair of the show.  Birth year and date of the entrant must be submitted to state Awards Chair.

#16, JUDGES COUNCIL FLOWER SHOW ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS. (Winning application must score 95 or more for any award).

#16-1, ($25), sponsoring club having 25 or more members

#16-2, ($25), sponsoring club having less than 25 members.

#17, BRAVO AWARD ($25), Club pres. nominates club member considering length of membership, attendance, sharing knowledge, committee service, good attitude. Prepare a one page written description of contributions, insert in theme binder with application form.

#18, LITTER BUG BEWARE AWARD($25), to club having best anti litter activity involving the community. Application form/B
OE needed.

#19-A, PETITE STANDARD FLOWER SHOW AWARD ($25), to club having best Petite Standard Flower Show. See Award #16 (AFGC Flower Show Achievement Awards [tab on right]) for compiling book of evidence.  Show must have 5 or more classes in the Design Division, and 5 or more classes in the Horticulture Division.  Special Exhibits division should have at least 1 class.   

#19-B, PETITE SMALL STANDARD FLOWER SHOW, ($25), to club having best Petite Small Standard Flower Show. See Award #16 (AFGC Flower Show Achievement Awards [tab on right]) for compiling book of evidence.  The show must have 12-19 entries in the Design Division and a minimum of 5 classes in Horticulture Division.  Special Exhibits Division, optional.

OTHER AFGC AWARDS:

Presidential Citations:  The AFGC Pres. may present special Citations to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to work of the Federation.

100% The National Gardener Subscription:  every dues paying member in a club must receive The National Gardener for a club to receive this citation. (Paid subscription or free copy to club pres., state pres., Editor of The Arkansas Gardener, and NGC Life members).
